'Accidental Quitting' With The Help Of Vaping

'ACCIDENTAL QUITTING' WITH THE HELP OF VAPING'
You may have already heard the term ‘Accidental Quitting’ - this is because this is a coined term in the vape community. Whilst studies have shown that vaping has become one of the most effective enabling tools to quit smoking, even beating out nicotine replacement therapy - accidental quitting is not as easy to clinically prove due to the fact that it is often completely without intention.
However, this does not mean that this statement cannot be proved at all. In fact, a study conducted by Roswell Park found that the use of e-cigarettes could have a positive impact on even the most recalcitrant smokers.
To further support this study, we’ve reached out to some ‘accidental quitters’ who were happy to explain the process of how they quit tobacco for good and accidentally made the big switch.
Michel, 37
Michel could easily get through a pack of cigarettes in a day, and had been doing so for over twenty years. One day he reluctantly purchased a Blu disposable as recommended by his nephew, and has never looked back. After what he describes as ‘feeling fine without smoking for five hours straight’ he decided to stick with the pen and explore the many other e-liquids and brands on the vape market. Congratulations, Michel!
Jane, 45
Jane’s accidental quitting came around as she geared up for a family event; as she didn’t want family members to know she still smoked, she simply grabbed a vape kit and just like that, never looked back. After smoking for over a century, Jane did more research around the vape kits best suitable for her, and now she boasts a cool 8 years without smoking. Well done, Jane!
Jacob, 29
Jacob is two days clean of smoking so far, which is a big deal for someone who struggled to go more than an hour without a cigarette. This accidental quitting story began simply by picking up a vape at the store before a long journey home as he didn’t want his car to smell like cigarettes. Keep going, Jacob!
Sean, 24
Sean started smoking at the age of 14, just a year ago he discovered vaping whilst on a night out with friends. Out of curiosity and fascination, Sean invested in his own kit and hasn’t had a cigarette since. Ironically, he hasn’t vaped this year either. Congratulations for going completely nicotine-free this year, Sean!
All three accidental quitters have this thing in common, they’d never given vaping a try prior to their accidental quitting. This supports evidence that more smokers would be able to quit if they were provided with adequate information and resources surrounding e-cigarettes instead of misconceptions and anti-vape propaganda.
